Rodica Senior Home Care House is qualified to help house residents with any activities necessary for daily living. Accordingly, eligibility for admission into Rodica House is governed by the level of care that the prospective client requires.

  • Room charges
  • Subsidization through the SAFER program
  • Accommodation

Rodica Senior Home Care House provides accommodation for 14 residents. We have private rooms only. Most of them have a full or half bathroom. The rooms are comfortably furnished. However, due to limited space, extra furniture must be kept to a minimum unless you would prefer to furnish the room yourself. Nevertheless, we encourage you to bring personal possessions that may help you feel more at home. These may include a radio, TV set, your favorite pictures, ornaments, plants, etc. All electrical appliances, including radios and televisions must be CSA approved, in good repair and pre-approved by Rodica Senior Home Care House. For your own safety, heating pads, electric blankets and cooking appliances are not recommended.

    Room Charges

The daily room rates at Rodica Senior Home Care House are established according to the following criteria:

    • The amount of daily assistance that is required by the resident (if the amount of assistance required increases, the rate will be adjusted accordingly).
    • The daily room rate established by the Ministry of Health for the Adult Care Facilities in British Columbia.
    • Residents are responsible for providing their own shampoo, toothpaste, denture cream, Kleenex and similar toiletry items.
    • A security deposit will be required from the resident/responsible party upon notification of an available room in order to reserve the room for the prospective resident.

    Subsidization

Some government subsidization is available through the SAFER (Shelter Aid For Elderly Residents) program administered by BC Housing. For more information on obtaining this subsidization please visit the BC Housing and Services website.
